"It's exciting to say a little something about how I feel about what I do.
I love therapy.
I had a client once that said she wishes it wasn't completely weird to have a bumper sticker that said just that. It is for the most part true that therapy is weird.
We trust someone with all of our feelings, thoughts, and fears. Sharing these personal things with me is not taken lightly.
You will feel better as the process of therapy takes you to a place where you are able to focus on yourself. I believe that you can feel and live better. I've watched it happen over and over and I'd be honored to be there when you do."
I've been practicing mental health therapy since 2002 and my clinical focus is on anxiety disorders: PTSD -Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, OCD, Generalized and Specific Anxiety as well as Panic Disorder.
I work with individuals as well as couples and provides therapy for those who are struggling with transitions in relationships as well.

"Michelle was the first (but not last) therapist I went to back in my last few years of college. I have not been able to find a therapist that I have felt as comfortable with as her. Michelle is like a 'best friend substitute' when all you need is someone to talk to (even if you don't realize it). I went to Michelle thinking that no one could help me and that I needed to just 'get out of a funk' but I left knowing that sometimes you can't do things alone. I cried a lot in her office, but I learned a lot too. If you're unsure about talk therapy, give Michelle a try. She's awesome, and she has rocks in her office. You don't have to be a crystal connoisseur to appreciate a nice amethyst. " (age 28)
"The truth is I've think that a lot of the issues that I came to you with in August have been taken care of, and I feel like I'm well equipped to go into this next semester of school! I do want to thank you so much for the help and compassion and wisdom that you gave me. It means a lot and helped me figure myself out and stay grounded during a rough transition in my life." “Michelle is so awesome. She’s super chill and down to earth and genuinely cares about how I’m feeling and wants to help me make strides towards bettering myself.” (age 21)
“Therapy with Michelle was exactly what I needed in my life. I got to voice my concerns with an objective, non-judgmental person who had my best interests in mind, yet wasn’t just there to agree with me. I was challenged in a good way that made me see that my snap decisions and feelings weren’t always true, and that I deserved better treatment from myself, as well as from those around me. Since then, I’ve been able to gain confidence, explore my interests openly and have grown so much as a person. The reason I started seeing Michelle was just a catalyst to help me work through much bigger issues, and I would encourage anyone to give her a shot." (age 38)
